Nerd Con Cosplay Contest is a showcase event where people of any age or skill level can participate. Come dressed as any character from media, or your own design and display your skills. You can sign up online with the link provided below!

Rules:

  • No nudity

  • No discriminatory, offensive, or harmful content/behavior. Nerd Con reserves the right to judge what is considered offensive and may ask to remove any violating individuals.

  • No real weapons, any fake weapons (example: firearms), must be marked with an orange tip.

  • Please practice good sportsmanship, there will be no arguing over judging or others costumes.

Judging

The cosplay contest features four categories to which you will be judged.

Craftsmanship

Judging based on hand crafted cosplays. 70% of the cosplay must be made by you. This includes stitchwork, complexity and creativity.

Performance

This category judges how well you imbody the character, so the best performance wins.

Character Accuracy

How accurate is your cosplay to its media counterpart? This can also involve performance but emphasizes likeness to the characters design.

Creativity

This category is about the creative liberties you take with the design of a cosplay.
